Platycnemis pennipes (Blue Featherleg/White-legged Damselfly)

A delightful creature limited to the more southerly areas of the UK. We have a population at our local Sandhouse Lane NR. The males have an intriguing habit of dangling their white legs in flight to display them to other males.
