This is the only true Lestes (Spreadwing) species to be found in Australia. It is a nomadic damselfly found also in India, Southeast Asia and as far as New Caledonia, as well.
On FNQ 2022, the lads found both male and female examples at Big Mitchell Creek Reserve but sadly IO missed seeing the male, so I have only the female. It was late in the day; there are times when I should have more staying power. 🙂
