This is one that we can shout “Bingo!” for – it is endemic to northern Australia AND it is a monotypic genus.
Pentathemis membranulata was completely new to me and I certainly didn’t recognize it when I took the very indifferent flight shot during FNQ2022; I was entirely dependent upon Phil for identification after the event. I can only apologize for the quality of the image.
