Pseudocordulia circularis (Circle-tipped Mistfly)

Another species that is endemic to northeast Queensland and yet another species that, frankly, you’d stand little chance of recognizing from “the book”. This is a very handsome creature, indeed, in a dark, understated way.

This single specimen was seen as we waded along a mountain river beside the road sunning up to the South Johnstone Campground on FNQ 2022.
