Choristhemis flavoterminata (Yellow-tipped Tigertail) was a bit of a surprise to me in that it is endemic to Australia but not called “Austro-something”. I imagine that is because the genus isn’t endemic to Australia. It ranges over the eastern side of the country. This is a running water species, favouring streams and rivers, according to the book.
We saw this character a few times. Most meetings were with males but I did manage to snag an female ovipositing in Northbrook Creek towards the end of our 2019 Queensland trip.
