Another Trithemis (Dropwing) species from our hotel pond in Zambia, 2022, Trithemis aconita is tagged the Halfshade Dropwing in South Africa but apparently the Monk’s Hood Dropwing in Namibia.
ID Notes
- ♂ – dark bluish-black in colour
- ♂ – narrow pairs of yellow streaks on the dorsal side of the abdomen
