Similar to its larger cousin Uracis fastigiata (Large Woodskimmer), mature males of this species are medium size dragonflies with an entirely pruinose gray body and clearly defined but limited black wing tips. It’s strikingly handsome, to my eyes.
We were fortunate enough to find this example at what Phil refers to as “Manuel’s Pond” behind the Tirimbina reserve.
