A very small firetail, one of the smallest damselflies in Costa Rica, according to the book. The combination of bright red abdomen paired with a striped thorax – yellow to greenish ground colour – is unique.
We saw only one of these at Manuel’s Pond (behind Tirimbina Reserve) but at least I managed two angles of it.
