Together with the closely related O. ferruginea, I think the two constitute my Costa Rican terrible twins of the dragonfly world, the adult males being rather tricky to distinguish.
On the somewhat rash assumption that I’ve got this right, O. discolor has both brighter eyes and brighter face compared to O. ferruginea. The body is a stronger pink with less in the way of purplish hue, too.
