Acanthagrion speculum (Costa Rican Wedgetail)

This is one of a pair of Costa Rican terrible twins, the other being Acanthagrion trilobatum (Pacific Wedgetail).

A. speculum males “are more likely to have green on thorax than male Pacific Wedgetail”, according to Dennis Paulson. These specimens appear to show that in the antehumeral stripes.
