Locations in France

Below is a Google Map of useful Odonata sites that we know of in France.

  • Pink markers are sites that we have visited – if you click on them you’ll see a list of species we’ve identified at that site.
  • Blue markers are likely candidate sites that we are yet to visit.

Hello John & Carol, congratulations on a inspiring and informative website. I do like the uncluttered interface its now in my bookmark page. Pinail is a favorite site that I visit, its good for Butterflies as well as Odo`s. If you are passing though the Gironde the Lagunes de Gat Mort is a small reserve that is well worth a visit. I can supply more details if it is of interest. Regards, James Gibbs.

Hi James and thanks for stopping by and taking the time to comment.

Yes, I’m always on the lookout for new hunting grounds so your suggestion of Les Lagunes de Gat Mort is very welcome. I’ve added it to my map as a To Be Visited marker.
